Grow with Telecare in our Mobile Crisis Response Teams (MCRTs)!
Across the country, the need for mental health crisis care has been skyrocketing. The good news is that people are responding, and resources are being put in place! At Telecare, we are partnering with our county customers to lead the way in implementing Mobile Crisis Response Teams (MCRTs) that go out into the community and deliver immediate, compassionate crisis support to people when and where they need it! This is especially exciting because the MCRT model is mandated in California, and the model will be spreading across the state soon.
You have the opportunity to transform crisis care — and people’s lives — while being part of a dynamic and supportive team. Learn more below about our programs below. Your unique skills, background, and passion can make a difference at Telecare.
“My 16-year-old was refusing to go to school or talk to his therapist and I didn’t know what else to do when MCRT showed up. They were patient, talked to him in his lingo and when they left he said, ‘I like them’ and then went to school and saw his therapist.” — Mother of Person Served
What is a Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT)?
Telecare MCRT programs provide non-law enforcement crisis intervention services. This means that these programs deliver rapid crisis support to people in the community, primarily by a dedicated team of behavioral health professionals. Law enforcement is only involved in specific circumstances.
MCRT programs operate out of mobile offices (vans) that are typically staffed by an MCRT Licensed Team Lead, a Peer Recovery Coach, and a Substance Use Counselor Case Manager. The teams provide services to adults, children, youth, and families who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis in the community. Services are typically provided on a 24/7 basis, 365 days per year. The mobile office teams are supported by a dispatch team and an administrative team.
