Self-Care Tip: Journaling

In times of crisis, a single day can feel like a whole week and pretty soon we are overwhelmed by thoughts, feelings, and unprocessed experiences. Journaling is a good way to stop, reflect, and digest those experiences so that they don’t way us down.

Journaling has been proven to manage anxiety, reduce stress, and cope with depression. It has also been shown to help you prioritize problems, fears, and concerns.

If you have a journal sitting around that you have always meant to start writing in, go grab it! You could also open a new Google Doc or Word document and type your journal. Here are some prompts to get you started:

BONUS TIPS:

You could choose to write your journal like it’s a letter. Don’t worry about sending it—think of someone you trust and write to them. It could a person who is real, imagined, historical, living, or passed on.
