Bullying Among Elders: The Invisible Abuse

Join Julia Egan, Psy.D., clinical director at Morton Bakar Center (Hayward, CA) to discuss elder bullying.

Bullying has become an epidemic in the United States, but it is not limited to the youngergeneration. Elder bullying is underrecognized, under-researched and under-addressed, particularly within elder care facilities and mental health programs.

As this population continues to grow, it is crucial to support providers in addressing this issue. Get an overview of the older adult population, learn about the types of elder abuse, what constitutes bullying, how to recognize bullying and effectively intervene, and some of the factors that lead to being bullied or bullying.
