To Make Referrals: Referrals come from several resources, including DMH Intensive Care Division, Emergency Departments, Crisis Residential Treatment Programs, community mental health services. The program cannot accept walk-ins.

Who We Serve: We serve individuals aged 18 and older who reside in Los Angeles County and need acute inpatient psychiatric services.
Hours of Operation: 24 hours, 7 days a week
About the Program: At the Telecare MLK Adult Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF), we provide intensive mental health and psychiatric treatment services in a safe, welcoming environment for adults experiencing a mental health emergency. Services are provided on the Martin Luther King Jr. Behavioral Health Center campus. We believe recovery starts from within, and that our job is to do whatever it takes to provide the support needed on your recovery journey in a comfortable, structured environment. Our secure 16-bed facility has a multidisciplinary team that includes a psychiatrist, social workers, a rehabilitation therapist, registered nurses, recovery specialists, nurse practitioner, and peer recovery coaches.

Comprehensive evaluation and risk assessment
Collaborative treatment planning with a recovery focus
Crisis planning
Supportive counseling on group and individual basis
Medication evaluation and management
Discharge planning, including linkage with community services and support
